I’ve always loved designing pieces that feel effortless yet make a statement. The Sundance Dress is exactly that—a dress that’s light, flowy, and full of movement. It started as a simple idea: a dress with airy drape, delicate shaping, and a twirl-worthy silhouette. But once I got started, I knew I had to go all in with layered ruffles and soft, cascading stitches. And let’s be real—who doesn’t love a crochet dress that looks AND feels amazing?
This dress is a joy to wear and even more fun to make. Whether you want a casual summer dress or something to layer over tights and boots, the Sundance Dress is versatile enough to style however you like.

What Makes This Dress Special?
This design is all about drape, movement, and flow. The alternating treble and single crochet rows create a lightweight, breathable fabric with just the right amount of stretch. The dress is made in two panels (front and back), with built-in pockets (because yes, every dress needs pockets). The layered ruffles at the bottom add a dreamy, boho-inspired touch, making it effortlessly chic.
Even if you’re new to crochet dresses, don’t worry—the stitches are easy to learn, and I’ll walk you through everything in my step-by-step YouTube tutorial (more on that below).
