Rosebud Skirt

Rosebud Skirt

Soft petals, easy colorwork, and a customizable fit—the Rosebud Skirt is a textured crochet design worked in two panels from the hem up. It’s a fun, swishy make for intermediate crocheters who enjoy stitch patterns that pop, but confident beginners can also follow along with the help of the video tutorial.

This one started with color. I had these three shades sitting next to each other—peach, green, and sand—and they felt like they belonged together. I didn’t plan the stitch myself, but once I saw how the texture popped with those colors, I knew it needed to become a skirt.

The silhouette is full and swishy, but the construction is simple: two panels, joined at the sides. You adjust the length as you go, then finish with a crocheted chain woven into the waistband to keep it snug. No elastic, no fuss—but if you prefer an elastic waistband, you can absolutely add one instead.

It’s one of those pieces that looks sweet and delicate, but it’s made to move—easy to wear, fun to make, and surprisingly fast once you get into the rhythm.
