I’m excited to share my latest crochet pattern, the Rain Petal Backpack! This design features a beautifully textured 3D stitch that creates a fabric so tactile, you’ll find yourself patting it all day. This unique stitch adds a dynamic look and feel, and if you’re familiar with my work, you’ll recognize it from two of my previous designs: the Figs Handbag and the Figs Oversized Crop Sweater. I absolutely love the structure and texture this stitch brings to any project!

The Rain Petal Backpack is perfect for carrying all your essentials while making a bold fashion statement. With its colorful, petal-like motifs, the design is both playful and sophisticated, making it ideal for all seasons.

One of the best parts of working with this stitch is the 3D effect it creates. Not only does it add dimension, but it also gives the fabric a comforting feel. I used it in my Figs Handbag and Figs Oversized Crop Sweater, and I couldn’t resist bringing it back for this backpack. It’s a dream to crochet and incredibly satisfying to watch the pattern come to life.

It’s perfect for intermediate crocheters who are comfortable with front post and back post stitches. If you’re looking for a new, interesting project to sink your hooks into, this one is definitely for you!

The pattern is available in my Etsy and Ravelry stores.
