Instructions for the gauge

Ch 24

  • Row 1: sc 2nd ch from the hook and across. (23 sc sts)
  • Row 2: ch 4 (counts as a st and ch 1), turn. *Sk 1, tc in the next st, ch 1* across. At the end of the row make 1 tc in the last st and no ch 1.  (23 tc and ch 1 sts)
  • Row 3: ch 1, turn. Sc across. When working into ch 1, work into the ch 1 sp. (23 sc sts)

Repeat rows 2 and 3 until row 12.

The gauge swatch is intentionally larger to ensure a more accurate stitch count.

  • This pattern includes a full video tutorial linked on the front page for steps that are easier to show than tell.
  • You will start by making one continuous piece for the back and front panels, leaving an opening for the neckline. Then make the sleeves and attach them to the body. Finally, sew the sleeve seams and side seams together.
  • This design is meant to fit cropped with a wider bust. The finished sweater falls at the waist, though you can adjust it to any length. Keep in mind that extra yarn will be needed for added length.
  • The ch 4 at the beginning of the row counts as 1 treble crochet and ch 1 in this pattern.
  • Both the sweater length and sleeve length are adjustable.
