INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE SAMPLE

Ch24
Row 1: Pick up 5 sts beginning in 2nd ch (= 6 sts on hook)), make a YO and pull through all 6 sts, work 1 ch to make a hole over the 6 sts.
* pick up 1 st in the hole, pick up 1 st in the side on the last of the 6 sts, pick up 1 st in same ch as the last of the 6 sts was picked up in, pick up 1 in each of the next 2 ch (= 6 sts on hook), make a YO and pull through all 6 sts, 1 ch *, repeat across.
The last star stitch ends in the last ch, make 1 hdc in that last ch.
Row 2: ch1, turn. *Work 2 hdc in next "star hole"* and across and in the last st. (21 hdc)
Row 3: ch3, turn. Pick up 5 sts beginning in 2nd ch from hook, 3rd ch from the hook, 1st st, 2nd st and 3rd st (= 6 loops on hook) YO and pull through all six loops on your hook.
* Pick up 1 st in the hole, pick up 1 st in the side on the last of the 6 sts, pick up 1 st in same ch as the last of the 6 sts was picked up in, pick up 1 st in each of the next 2 ch (= 6 sts on hook), make a YO and pull through all 6 sts, 1 ch *, repeat across.
