Wide Half Double Crochet Stitch
- Start by chaining any number of chains.
- Row 1: hdc, starting in the 2nd ch from the hook and across.
- Row 2: ch 1, turn. You will work hdc in between the posts of the half double crochets from the previous row. At the end of the row make the last wide half double crochet in between the last half double crochet and the turning chain.
- For the rest of the pattern repeat row 2.
- You will start by crocheting the waistband using wide half double crochet stitches. Then, continue with the main body of the skirt, maintaining the wide half double crochet stitch. Finish by adding three rounds of ruffles at the bottom.
- When working on the waistband you'll be working over the elastic.
- Odd numbered rows are the right side.
- I recommend you watch my YouTube tutorial, if there are any uncertainties.
