Specialty Stitch

Kiel Stitch

  1. Turning chain at the beginning of the row does not count as a stitch.
  2. Number of rows in pattern repeat : 4
  3. Chain any number of chains + 1 turning chain.
  4. Row 1: Starting in 2nd ch from the hook, work 1 hdc in the back bumps across.
  5. Row 2 - 4: ch 1, turn, 1 slst blo across.
  6. Row 5: ch 1, turn, 1 hdc blo across.
  7. Repeat row 2 to row 5 until you reach desired size.
Notes
  • You’ll start by crocheting the front and back panels, joining them at the shoulders, adding the waistband and cuffs, finishing with sewing the sides of the panels and waistband together.
  • Ch 1 doesn’t count as a stitch.
