Instructions for the gauge

Ch 27.

  • Row 1: In 3rd ch from the hook (these 1st 2 skipped chs count as an sc) make: (1 sc, ch 1, 1 dc), sk next two ch, *(1 sc, ch 1, 1 dc) in the next ch, sk 2 chs. Repeat from * across, ending with 1 sc in the last ch.
  • Row 2: Ch 2 (counts as a st), turn. Sk the 1st sc and the 1st dc, and *make (1 sc, ch 1, 1 dc) in the next ch space, sk the next sc and the next dc*, and repeat from * to * across, sk the last sc stitch and make a sc into the turning ch.

Repeat row 2 until desired length.

Notes
  • This pattern includes a full video tutorial linked on the front page for steps that are easier to show than tell.
  • You will start by making the back panel, then the front panel. Next, make the sleeves and sew the shoulders together. Attach the sleeves to the body and sew the side seams. Finally, work 2 rounds of sc around the neckline and cuffs.
  • This design is meant to fit oversized, with a wider bust. The finished dress length falls at mid-thigh, though you can adjust it to any length. Keep in mind that extra yarn will be needed for added length.
  • The turning chain counts as a stitch in this pattern. 
  • Both the dress length and sleeve length are adjustable.
