Daily Stitch Cotton; 100% Cotton; Yarn Weight: Super fine; Color: Bordeaux (10)

Every stitch deserves the right yarn! 🧶 I’ve gathered some of the best yarns and tools in my Amazon shop. Come browse and see what sparks your creativity. 🤎

This is the yarn I use, but because this is a made-to-measure sweater, you can work with any yarn.

  • 350 g / 12.3 oz
  • 1190 m / 1302 yd
Materials

Yarn needle, scissors, measuring tape, and stitch markers.

Hook(s)

  • 3.5 mm

Use the hook size recommended for your yarn. I recommend making a swatch first to test different hook sizes and find the fabric you prefer.

Gauge

Not critical. This is a made-to-measure pattern, so you'll adjust the measurements based on your body.

Size Guide

You'll use your own body measurements to customize the fit.

Finished Measurements

This is a made-to-measure pattern. The instructions guide you through adjusting the waist width, bust width, body length, cuff circumference, and sleeve length to fit your measurements.

Stitch Key (US terms)
  • ch/s = chain/s
  • dc = double crochet
  • dc blo = double crochet back loop only
  • rep = repeat
  • sk = skip
  • slst = slip stitch
  • sp/s = space/s
  • sts = stitch/es
Specialty Stitch

Double crochet V-stitch

Chain in multiples of 3 + 3.

  • Row 1: (dc, ch 1, dc) in 4th ch from the hook (skipped 3 ch counts as dc), * sk 2 chs, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch, rep from * until 2 chs remain, sk 1 ch, dc in last ch.
  • Row 2: ch 3 (counts as dc here and throughout), turn. (dc, ch 1, dc) in each ch 1 sp across, dc into top of ch 3.

Rep Row 2 until desired height.

Notes
  • This pattern includes a full video tutorial linked on the front page for steps that are easier to show than tell.
  • You will make 2 panels (front and back), then make the sleeves. Sew the shoulders together, attach the sleeves, then seam the body sides and sleeve seams to complete the sweater.
  • The ch 3 at the beginning of the row counts as a double crochet.

You might be wondering

Can I use a different yarn?

Yes, feel free to substitute. Refer to the Yarn, Materials, and Gauge sections for yarn weight and hook size. Any similar yarn should work as long as the gauge matches.

Is the design customizable?

Most patterns include customization options. Check the Notes section to see which parts can be adjusted.
