The Ember Plaid Scarf features a unique weaving technique that creates dimensional plaid texture. You'll crochet the base with simple double crochet stitches, then weave yarn vertically between stitches to form the plaid pattern. This technique transforms basic crochet into something textured and polished. Working with thinner yarn held double creates drape without weight. Perfect for gift-giving or keeping yourself warm this winter.

- This pattern includes two full video tutorials linked on the front page demonstrating steps that are easier to show than tell.
- First you will make the base with double crochet stitches, changing colors as per instructions. Then you will weave yarn between stitches to create a plaid effect.
- The turning chain does not count as a stitch in this pattern.
- This pattern was made using leftover yarn. Yarn A is slightly thinner than yarns B and C, but it worked fine for me. It's okay to use yarns that are the same weight.
- You must use thinner weight yarn and work with 2 strands held together throughout. This is essential for creating the fringe finish at the ends.
