The Granny Tie Sweater is a seamless, top-down crochet sweater made with the classic granny stitch. Light and airy, it’s easy to make, wear, and adjust.

The neckline tie lets you style it wide or fitted, and both sleeve and body lengths are customizable. Worked in two alternating colors, it’s simple, playful, and flows naturally without seams.

Notes
  • This pattern includes a full video tutorial linked on the front page for steps that are easier to show than tell.
  • You will work the sweater seamlessly from the top down in the round. After completing the yoke, you will continue the body in the round and finish with the waistband ribbing. You will then rejoin at the underarm to work each sleeve in the round, ending with the cuff ribbing. Finally, you will make and weave a string through the neckline for an adjustable fit.
  • The turning chain counts as a stitch in this pattern.
  • The sweater length, sleeve length, and neck hole circumference are all adjustable, with instructions included in the pattern.
